Nowadays Doc. Ing. Miloš Michlovský, DrSc., is one of the best vine breeders in Czech Republic. He is one of the founders of scientific and production association called Resistant. In 1994 he privatized vine breeding station in Perna. From the very beginning in 1946 till recently the breeding process is oriented on selection and breeding of new winegrape varieties that have resistance to biotic (fungi, pests) and abiotic (frosts, drought) factors. From the year 1989 there were bred white winegrape varieties Palava and Aurelius. In 2001 new varieties Agni, Ariana, Lena and the first resistant varieties in Czech Republic Malverina and Laurot appeared. The next resistant variety Rinot was enregistered in 2008. The range of new varieties is in registration process now.
Miloš Michlovský is a pioneer and propagator of biologic viticulture under the conditions of Czech Republic. Vinselekt company owns 8 ha of biological vineyards.
